Intervention Support

All students are supported at Henley High School through the implementation of Differentiated curriculum which is targeted to challenge the level of the learner.

STAR students may also be supported through curriculum modifications that will allow them to be successful in the classroom and at home.

Intervention plans are used to develop strategies and goals to support a positive change in learning or behaviour.

Other support agencies outside the school may include Psychologists, Attendance & Engagement Social Worker and Behaviour Coach with DfE.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BEHAVIOUR GOALS

• No harassment of others
  • No name calling
  • No intimidation of others
• No inappropriate behaviour
• To not get distracted in class and do not distract others
• Follow instructions promptly
• Concentrate in class and do not turn around and chat to others
• Behave appropriately in class
• No focus room referrals
• If you would like to contribute to class discussion put up your hand. Do not call out for attention.
• No yelling or speaking out of turn in class
• Remove yourself from others that you do not work well with, sit away from distractions
• Listen and pay attention to the person talking eg teacher, student

• Be organised
• Give all school work a go
• Use Outlook or own diary to record homework, reminders, due dates and notes.
• Be on task and complete all school work appropriately
• Complete set work in class and in homework time
• To aim to achieve at least one A grade in Semester 2
  • English or SOSE
• Work towards getting a part time job
• Aim for Year 12 and investigate possibilities in Sporting Field – Basketball, Journalism, Sport Science
• Ensure you have your own stationary and books for each lesson
• Put your hand up if you have a question and wait for the teacher
• Put in your best effort
• Share what you have learnt with your parents when you get home
• Include your parents by sharing your homework tasks
