Surf Life Saving & Swimming

PROGRAM 

The aim of the Henley Sports Academy is to assist student athletes in their sporting and academic pathway. Students have two 80 minute and one 50 minute lessons per week over the whole year. The Sport Surf Life Saving and Swimming Academy focus for each term includes:

Term 1

  • Theory Focus:  Race Analysis, Goal Setting and Nutrition
  • Practical Focus:  Race Strategy and Specific Skill development

Term 2

  • Theory Focus:  Technique Analysis
  • Practical Focus: Pool Rescue, Strength & Development

Term 3

  • Theory Focus:  Psychology Task
  • Practical Focus: Kayak Program, Strength and Development

Term 4

  • Theory Focus: Coaching Task, Individual Performance Analysis
  • Practical Focus: Race Strategy and Specific Skill Development
