Safer Internet Day – 11th February 2025: Empowering Our Children Online

Back to News

In today’s digital world, staying safe online is more important than ever.

Henley High School is proud to support Safer Internet Day, a global initiative that brings communities, schools, organisations and families together to raise awareness about online safety issues, and to work towards a safer and more positive internet.

This year’s theme focuses on helping young people navigate the online world safely and confidently, and as parents, you play a key role in guiding your child’s digital habits. Simple conversations about privacy, cyber bullying, screen time, and online respect can make a big difference in their online experience.

We encourage our families to take part by discussing online safety at home. Here are a few ways to get involved:

Talk: Ask your child about their favourite apps, games, and websites.
Learn: Explore online safety resources together.
Set Boundaries: Encourage healthy screen time and responsible social media use.
Be a Role Model: Show safe and respectful online behaviour.
