Henley High students shine in Shakespearean Spotlight
Back to NewsHenley High School’s Year 11 students captivated audiences last year with their mesmerising performance of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare – Abridged”. From the tragic romance of “Romeo and Juliet” to the gripping intrigue of “Macbeth,” they breathed life into Shakespeare’s timeless works, showcasing their talent and dedication.
Recognising the enduring relevance of Shakespeare in today’s world, the ABC’s Behind the News (BTN) program interviewed the students, who discussed the universal themes of love, power, and human nature portrayed in Shakespeare’s plays. Through their performances and reflections, the students not only honed their acting skills but also gained deeper insights into literature and the human condition, affirming the timeless allure of Shakespearean drama.
