Our Year 11 and 12 students (women and men), plus a significant woman in their life, are invited to attend Henley High School’s International Women’s Day Breakfast.

Addressing the 2024 UN International Women’s Day theme Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress., we will cover what this means for women at school and as young adults. Our speakers include:

2023 Vice Captain of Port Adelaide Football Club

Recognised as one of the premier intercept defenders in the league and a key player for Port Adelaide Football Club, Janelle Cuthbertson will be joining us as a distinguished guest speaker to share her story and insights into overcoming challenges and embracing change. With her remarkable journey from a flourishing tennis career to making a significant impact in Australian rules football, Cuthbertson embodies resilience, determination, and leadership. We eagerly anticipate her inspiring presence as we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in sports and beyond.

Multidisciplinary South Australian Artist

We are honoured to announce that Catherine Fitz-Gerald, a talented and experienced South Australian artist and advocate for inclusive community engagement, will be gracing our International Women’s Day event as a distinguished speaker. With over 15 years of fostering creativity and inclusivity in her home studio, Catherine’s insightful perspective and commitment to empowering women in the arts perfectly align with our celebration of female achievements and progress.

Details

Breakfast includes vegetarian and gluten free options, as well as a coffee van for coffee purchases. Please meet at the Henley High School Hall upon arrival. Henley High School staff are also welcome to attend.
